What’s heartburn like? Or indigestion?

Both of these things are ‘covered’ by that swell little jingle in the Pepto Bismol commercials, but I honestly don’t know the symptoms of either. For all I know I get either one or both of them. Isn’t this pathetic? Someone clue me in!

  1. Heart burn is when a little bit of stomach acid gets up into the esophagus. The symptom is a burning in the chest (“heart”) area. Long-term effects include espohageal (sp?) cancer. I’m not entirely sure of all the causes, but I’m pretty sure over-eating is one.
